Lincoln's Green Team Committee
Linc N Lion has gone green!
The Hallway Recycling Station, situated outside the main hallway.
The Lincoln Green Team is ramping up our initiatives to help our planet. We collect the following for recycling /redistribution:
* Ink cartridges
* Campbell's for Education labels
6th Grade Social - October 27th, Chairs and Co-Chairs needed to plan and organize a Halloween social for the 6th graders. Responsbilities include invites, decorations, food and music.
8th Grade Promotion Dance – Chairs and Co-chairs needed to plan and organize late spring dance/celebration for 8th graders. Responsibilities include invitations, decorations, food and music. The committee is primarily comprised of 8th grade parents. 7th grade parents chaperone the event.
Variety Show -- Coordinate and supervise, with faculty, student acts for the springtime variety show. You would also help schedule parent volunteers/coaches.
Mid-of-Mid School Event 7th Grade – Coordinate chaperones with the faculty this annual 7th grade mid-winter celebration.
Greeter’s Program -- Work with a district-selected Senior Coordinator and community retirees to help schedule door greeters at Lincoln’s main entrance.
Publicity – Committee that coordinates photo taking at key Lincoln events for yearbook, Lincoln PTO Facebook page, newspapers, in-school promotions.
Fundraising Committee –Coordinate and promote minimal effort fundraising events/efforts; i.e.; Local restaurant fundraisers, Shop and Share, eSCRIP, etc.
Giving Back – Initiate and assist students in charitable contributions and activities.
Lincoln Wear --- Plan and administer sale of various Lincoln clothing. Coordinate sales at open house and Washington and Roosevelt visits.
LRC Helpers -- Help coordinate parent volunteers (approx. eight) for LRC assistance.
Power (8th grade) -- Help plan, publicize, and staff (along with the faculty and administration) this annual 8th grade workshop, which helps students plan and transition to high school through leadership, planning and good decision-making.
Teacher Appreciation Week – Coordinates Teacher Appreciation Week in early May.
Environmental – Work with Principal Murray to develop an environmental plan to help make Lincoln a more sustainable community.
